f4i headlight is pissing me off...

Are the headlight harnesses different between the different f4i years?

I have bypassed the bank angle sensor and bypassed the clutch switch. There are no other modifications to the wiring harness.

When the headlight is unplugged, the headlight switch seems to work fine, on low beams no indicator on the gauges, flip the switch to hi beams and the hi beam indicator shows on the gauges.

When I plug in the headlight with the switch on low beams, the hi beam indicator comes on on the gauges. Flipping the switch has no effect, the hi beam indicator stays on on the gauges and at no time do I get any light from the bulbs..

Anyone have any ideas?

SEE THOSE TWO WIRES RUNNING TO YOUR CLUTCH SWITCH?, WRAP THEM TOGETHER, OR FOLLOW THEM BACK TO THE BIG CONNECTOR AND JUMP THEM THERE.

I figured it out. I jumped the wires for the tip sensor on the main harness because at the time I didnt have a headlight harness. If you wanna run headlights off of the headlight harness, you cant have the tip sensor wires jumped on the main harness. After reconnecting those and shorting the tip sensor wires it works like a charm. Damn.. I am legal now.

word? I was wondering why my headlight wasnt working when I plugged it into the harness the other day awhile back, so I just wired up a new switch, since I wasnt rocking the leftside switches due to the handbrake. I jumped my tip switch at the main harness so that must be the cause.....

Question Re: f4i headlight is pissing me off...

Hey guys!!! :YEAH
I'm completely new here. My question is related to this topic because I got my headlight wiring harness stolen and I don't know which are the bank angle sensor pins in the main harness. If anyone can help me I would be so grateful.
Thanks in advance.

Re: f4i headlight is pissing me off...

Bank angle sensor have 3 wires f4i(01-03). Green (ground), Red/Black(goes to engine stop relay) and White/black, this cable is white on the angle sensor but is white/black on the wire harness(it changes on the 3 pin clip) and this cable spilts two ways one goes to engine stop switch (by the stater switch) and the other one goes to the fuse box. I hope this help you.
