Are they universal or model specific?

Re: MSR shorty clutch levers

yeah, they are universal. As long as the cable gets pulled, the clutch works properly........ you could rig an e-brake handle from a civic on your tank and it would work, catch my drift?>>>????

Re: MSR shorty clutch levers

Buy the "MSR Dominator" lever & perch, they are the sh*t, they have 3 diferent holes to place your clutch cable into and they pull in way easy, it feels like a brand new dirt bike clutch

Re: MSR shorty clutch levers

pretty much any moto-x store will have them. You can order them through your local dealer almost gauranteed. wwwmxsouth.com has em, just do a search through google..........

Re: MSR shorty clutch levers

I have been thinking using mountain bike brake lever. They are dirt cheap. and short.

JohnnyP is a decent person
Re: MSR shorty clutch levers

Youd have to modify the hole for the cable end because clutch cable ends are bigger than mountain bike brake cable ends.

if you want a short lever, cut the stock one. Most people buy the msr lever because they are real easy to pull.

Exactly. I will never go back after using MSR Shorty's. They are a little fragile but cheap in cost. They work well also so buy one and try it.

Re: MSR shorty clutch levers

yea the msr lever is cool... marc runs one and with the mounting in a diff place it would be pretty good.... it works where it is on his bike but it takes some gettin used to.... the idea of an easier pull is a great one... and those levers make it a reality..... .....

Re: MSR shorty clutch levers

my boy bought one @ starboyz stuntfest ... tried to put it on... and stripped ou tthe screw that tightens the clamp to the bars... then he did a chainsaw burnout and it got away from him.. landed on the left side and broke the lever.. all within about a half hour...

it worked good once it was on but it was fragile when it hit the ground.
