Re: r6 sprocket question

I'm up 14 in the back and it's great for stuntin' not highway. But i learned everything on a stock 48 tooth sprocket. Slow stuff, circles, whatever can be done on stock gearing... I don't know if the newer R6's are different but on the 2002 it was ok...

Re: r6 sprocket question

I ride an 01 r6, with an 02 motor, on stock gearing. I had trouble learning and wondered if the bikedidnt have the power, or needed gearing, but with practice realized it was just my technique. I basically learned alone so it was hard to see my mistakes, kind of trial and error, and what info i gathered reading here. now i can bring it up to bp easy in first or second with clutch, or bouncing no prob. I dont know what skill level your at but it shoudnt be the bike or gearing. of course gearing will make it come up that much easier.

Re: r6 sprocket question

I had an 02 R6 and was +2 and had no problems bringin it up in 1st or 2nd. 1st gear was about rolling to 4-5krpms and slippin the clutch. 2nd was about technique(getting bounce down). with that gearing I hit 157mph on the hw so it's a good starting point...I guess
