Re: Question about turning idle up GSXR 1000
you should be able to order a factory idle adjuster cable for a '01-'02 750 from your local bike shop for around 40 bucks and then you would remove the small adjuster bolt(often has yellow paint on it) near where your throttle cables go under the tank and replace it with the cable.

only newer style gixxer that had one is the 2000 750! that is the only microfiche at the dealer that shows it... if you tell them '01 they will not be able to find it! unless they know what you are talkin about and know that only the 2000 model shows it! it screws in replacing the little screw that is there now

Re: Question about turning idle up GSXR 1000
Your right, my bad.. the 01-02 had the lever on the clip-on...anyways, any 96-00 cable will work and I am sure since I have (2) '03 750's with 96-99 cables on them, and I ordered a 2000 cable for one of my riders that has an 02 1000

then you need to unscrew the stock little gold idle adjust screw, and thread in the extended one, and run it out the left side of the bike (on the left, below frome, above front sproket cover)
then you can just reach down and turn it to adjust your idle

Re: Question about turning idle up GSXR 1000
Heres a cheap and fast way i did for my '02 GEEZ 1000. Go to an automotive store like AutoZone. Ask for a 1/4 inch rubber fuel line hose. They should have it all wound up and they will ask you how many feet long do you want it. Tell them you want 18 inches. It cost me around $2.00 with tax
Lift your tank up and stick it over the idle screw. It is a tight and very snugg fit so don't worry about it falling off. Run it to where ever you want it to stick out from. If it is to long then trim it with a razor blade. Now you have a homemade idle adjuster.
I never had any problems with mine.
