Question about Large Rear Sprockets

Question about Large Rear Sprockets
For the real stunters out their I have a question about Large Rear Sprockets.
How much of a difference does a larger rear sprocket make when doing wheelies? Does it really make it that much easier? Does it make slow stuff easier? If so how? Why?
I understand that It drastically cuts down on top speed and makes each gear alot shorter.
Please describe in detail how a larger rear sprockets helps with wheelies.
Also, what do alot of you guys do with your chain? Do you buy an extremely long chain or do you run 2 master links or what?
Thanks alot
Nick

Re: Question about Large Rear Sprockets
ok theres 2 types of slow stuff.thers stuff with ur idle up like no handers, circles etc.. a bigger sprocket for that wiill only really help for circles because the bike is less likely to stall, but it can be done...u realy dont need one for 12ing reeasons i learned and rocked on a stock f4i for a long time....the main reason to mount a bigger sprocket is for 1st gear engine brake shyt...s/s, spreaders, hc, combos, etc...with a bigger sprocket u can slwo wheelies down with jsut the throttle, plus at 10k rpm ur only goin say 20-25 as oppose to 40 or more....the slower u go the more rpms will save u , it alows u to rock shyt alot higher.. second is that its easer to be smooth, its easier to be smooth on the throttle and no t **** up at 10-11k rpm than it is at say 6-7. also it onyl affects ur top speed badly if u go to huge pizza pan sprocket....im +12 on my f4i and can still go bout 130ish....but i canalso slow s/s down to almost a stop, and my combos are alot better than wat they used to be....as for the chain if u order ur sprocckets througha company chances are they'll send u a 12o link cahin, which i bleive will fit almsot any thing...any mroe questions post em up

Re: Question about Large Rear Sprockets
A 120 link was 6 links too long on my -1 +12 setup just for reference. I like my sprockets, I want more though since my bike is pretty weak I'd like to be able to snap wheelies up faster without having to clutch it so hard that everyone within a mile can hear.
