Re: 954 front on an F4i

yeah I bent my forks and swapped to the 954/929 front end. It was worth it. It comes up so much smoother. Anyways, you'll need the forks, upper and lower triple clamps, clipons, wheel, rotor, axle, spacers for the axle, bearings for the wheel and stem, think thats it.

Re: 954 front on an F4i

your best bet is just buying a complete 929/954 front end

Good luck finding one for cheap. You have to replace everything. Forks, wheels, lines, calipers, rotors, Clipons, bearings........ + a dampener. I would work on more of your basic stunts and step up to the 954/929 front suspension when your ready to get REALLY serious about rolling long stoppies.

I think you can keep your f4i brake calipers.. They are the same just black instead of gold

Yeah i heARD something about being able to still use em too, but im sure the bigger rotors and calipers make a difference in stoppie power. I dont know about most of you guys but thats the only reason i swapped my front end.

What would be considered a good price for a complete 954 front end?

Re: 954 front on an F4i

um, I think I got all the parts I needed for my swap for a little over $500.........
And as far as what mounting kit to buy on the dampner, I would call whoever makes the dampner and ask them, because different brands differ on what changes from bike to bike...
