Trx850
Hopefully getting a TRX850 tomorrow...
Anyone know how they take to wheelies?
Still not that great, so don't expect to be holding it up for hours, but am I likely to start to kill the engine (oil starvation etc) if I do some ok ones?

Re: Trx850
is that a dirt bike? If it is I wouldnt imagine them to starv of oil that easily, Ive never heard of it at least. on 4 wheelers I can wheelie those all day and I have never had the oil light come on. Ive never ridden a dirt bike though.

Japanise answer to ducati. Paraller Twin, tubular frame. Engine is the same as in some of yamaha's big enduros. It's wet sump but should be ok for moderate wheelie stuff.. It's not twisty, just low down grunt and easy to use power. great twin sound with open mufflers.

Steel frame and narrow motor, so minimal crash damage, just install some sliders.
haven't driven it. but one of my friend used to own one, before I knew him. He said it's very good bike. Easy to wheelie stand ups and such... not much top end power, but that's not necessary.

Re: Trx850
Cheers.
As Jake said, it's the engine from a TDM850 (A kinda forerunner to the Varadero etc) but with a 270 degree crank to give it the 'feel' of a v-twin - and a trellis frame, probably for that ducati look.
I presume they weren't officially imported in the US then (I'm in the UK where they did, though quite a few of the ones around are still unofficial imports).
It's the oil pickup I'm most worried about, but if that's done ok for others... sure it'll be fine for me.
