help with pipe for f4i

hey i dont have money to buy a shorty pipe. so i want to cut mine. but i dont want to ust chop it and leave it. i was thinking of welding it or making a cap and riviting it on. but if anyone has ****es with a stock f4i pipe post some pics or tell you story. thanks

cut it and reweld the cap back on i used a chop saw cut the tip off at the end, then cut out 5-6 inches theres smaller pipes inside if you dont cut more than you have to you might not have to mess with them. But as short as i cut mine i had to cut the pipes inside so they werent righjt on the end cap. It doesnt get much louder than stock either when you get it back together./

if you cut it right behind the bracket, it will be straight through with no baffles, as far as welding the cap on goes, just make sure you have really "square" (like 90* angle cuts) so that you dont have to fill holes. Just make a few test passes on the throw away piece so you aren't burning through the pipe, that metal is thin. My pipe works great, but it is way louder than stock.

Mine didnt get much louder at all through the revs just changed the tone a little and pops a little when you let off

cut it, weld it with stainless rod. 1/16" 308 alloy should be fine. use a tig or its going to come out nasty looking. a band saw will give you the cleanest cut.
