F4i runs like pig

F4i runs like pig
Just put a newer motor in the F4i, finally got it running, and after it set for a days, i finally got the time to go ride. Well, its a big dissapointment.
It has NO bottom end power, you can't clutch it up w/ a +10 rear sprocket, it won't do a power wheelie
but it's got a knockin sounds around 4-5k ish.. the guy i bought it from says its probly exhaust seals. It doesn't make this noise above or below that rpm range. But it sounds more serious to me.
when you go wide *** open, it takes about 5-8 seconds for it to start pickin up the powre, then when it gets around 7-8k rpm, it stumbles for about 10 seconds, then it finally goes thru it, then i makes all kinds of power...
I have replaced the throttle bodies, Computer, Wiring harness from this motor and my old motor, and nothing changes, it still runs like a pig...
I've checked to make sure everything is plugges up, which it is, all vacuum lines are connected, All the coils are plugged up (but maybe one of the coils is bad?) and all the plugs have been cleaned..
any ideas fellas?

Run it for a while, let the exhaust get hot...Get a spray bottle and spray each header pipe one by one...if one doesnt sizzle and evaporate its prolly the sparkplug connection thingy, which means ur only running three cylinders..

120clown,
i just got done goin over the WHOLE bike again (took about 2 1/2 hours). i checked the exhaust... and fixed the little leak it had at the #1 cylinder. Same results as before
Sooo.. I put the coils, cam position sensor, Coil wiring harness, and the Airbypass sensor from the old motor on this one..
it STILL runs like ****.
Sprocketz.. yea i got the peg.. thanks, i've got a clutch cable for ya, but its junk.. its got duct tape holder parts of the outer shething together
One thing i did notice though..
with it idling, if you rev it up around 300 to 500rpm's, the fan speed increases...

cool i got a new cable already goodlookin out, hit up shwartz that guys a f4i expert....but jus my thoughts im still leaning towards a pluged exhaust....does your bike have a o2 sensor? if it does you might want to take it out and run it if it seems to have more power there it is your muffler is plugged up

exhaust unhooked and swapped out.. didn't work, new rectifier.... no go
im startin to run out of idea's here..
the only one i've got left, and i REALLY hope it isn't this on is, maybe a cam jumped timing or something?

Re: F4i runs like pig
Ok... I just got done going thru the Honda service manual troubleshooting steps for this thing. Everything that could be wrong check'd out OK. The ignition timing is right, the ignition pickup sensor is good, etc.
Soo.. i think i've narrowed it down to being internal... it has got to be a cam that has jumped time or something... I guess i'll be JB welding the old motor temporarily so i can ride again.
