THE GSXR MODEL WILL FIT BOTH YOUR 1K AND 6. THE STOCK SYSTEM IS A TUBE THAT ROUTES TO THE FRONT OF THE PAN. STUNTEX SYSTEM IS A STRAIGHT TUBE THAT MOVES THE PICKUP MOUTH TO THE MIDDLE. ITS A MUST FOR WHEELIES DUE TO THE FACTORY DESIGN, WHICH IS ONLY RACE INSPIRED.

Well I know most people ride without them.Kane never had oil pickup on his 1k that he stunted for ever and did lots of bar tricks.seems to run just fine. his 636 doesn't have one eather...

any disadvantages that stuntex pickup has?

Re: stuntex oil pickup??

Install Is Removing The Header And Oil Pan. The Average Human Should Be Able To Do It In An Hour.
The 636 Doesnt Need It Like The Gsxr, Thats Cool That He Has Had Good Motor Luck Like That. Maybe Try To Talk With Someone That Has One In Their Bike, They Could Give You The Scoop Without Being Partial.

How bout an SRAD with 48,000. First 12,000 were race miles and the rest were stunt miles???

Re: stuntex oil pickup??

You guys make this sound so complicated.
Here, let me simplify it. If you see your oil light, put down the wheelie and add more oil or install the stuntex oil pickup. Gixxers tend to have problems when the oil is overfilled, so you're probably better off with the new oil pickup. If you don't, and starve your engine of oil, you will be damaging it and it will blow sooner or later. With high rpms, it will be sooner rather than later.

Re: stuntex oil pickup??

And for whoever was talking about f4i's; they don't need it if you overfill the oil a little, unless you like bar tricks. My bike's oil light only comes on after sitting on the bar for a couple seconds
