cutting my chain

I just got a new 130 link chain and a 64 tooth sprocket.

I need to install the chain, but it is too long. I have one clip-type master link. How do i go about cutting the chain to the correct length and then how do i put it back together??
thanks guys

Re: cutting my chain

you use a table grinder and grind down the little nubs on the outside of the chain. just keep grinding until they pop off. just make sure you dont take off too much. then you throw the master link on like normal.

Re: cutting my chain

or spend like $10.00 on a chain breaker , only take's me about 30 sec's to cut/break the chain. got it on ebay CHEAP with a sprocket set.

with a breaker , you just slip it over the chain and tighten it up and your done. it will push the little nub right out the other side , take the master link and put it back together.
