Seat standers

How is everyone getting onto the seat? I saw Cbo jump to the seat from a dead stop in street session, is that the best way? Is there anything different you do when you are going to do this? Help a brotha out, Let me know what works for you. 1st hand experiance only please.

Re: Seat standers

The way to learn them is to ride at a speed where you are comfortable enough to just stand/get on the seat and ride. Then practice wheelies from that position. If you have enough control to bring the bike to a full stop and then jump to the seat without falling over, then that's good. Most likely while you are learning, you'll need to be rolling a bit. The wheelie then jump to seat stand is much more difficult, it's kind of like a combo. Basically just get yourself standing on the seat how ever you can, then try the wheelie. It's all practice.

Re: Seat standers

if you wanna do it in first.... start going about 10 to 20 mph.
then get both your feet up on to the seat. then once your there and you feel comfortable... start trying to bring the front up...

be careful tho, all you have in engine breakin to save your ***, Seat standers balance ALOT lower than normal wheelies.

Re: Seat standers

I Learned From Just Jumping Up Before I Clutch It . But, Once Ya Learn You Can Jump In The Middle Of A Whoolie.[ Looks Better] But, A Slow Seat Stander And A Street Seat Stander Are Two Different Whoolies. Be Carefull, Like Everyone Said, There Alot Lower At Speed.

Re: Seat standers

I appreciate all the advice, I guess my biggest fear about jumping and clutching at the same time is during that moment I 'm not on the bike I'm thinking I won't have the throttle control and run it out from under myself. I guess it will go one way or the other.

Re: Seat standers

I just started doing the seat standers tonight.. I only tried about 10 of them, only 4 or 5 even came up and I only rode 2 of them out, didn't hit the BP at all.

I wouldn't even think about jumping up there while clutching or in the middle of the wheelie yet, I'll learn to do them first then try some combos.
