I've got a cage problem....

I've had this problem the last two times i've lost my bike learning slow wheelies... Has anyone else experienced having there motormount bolts ripping all the threads out? I've had it happen on both sides, and the bike has only been laid down on the left side. But my right side of the cage popped out. So now i'm back to retapping the other side. If anyone else has had this problem please let me know what to do to prevent it from happening again. (Besides stop dropping it... ) lol. Thanx.

That **** happened on my 929 with sliders. What I did was just put a nut on the inside didn't retap it. Seems to be rock solid.

Drill it, use a longer bolt with a nut on the back

never done it before but drill it out just enough where a bolt will slip thru where the threads were put a nut on the end and be set. shouldnt have any problems

its not going to cause anything to leak. just drill out the back and dont use a grade 8. use a grade 5 and you should be cool.

if you are figuring out the bolt size, its a M10.

you put a nut on your 929, did you have any problems from dropping it hard after that, mine is stripped on me right side, I was thinking of putting a nut.
