What gear or does anyone shift when doing a burnout?

I dont think anyone does shift while just doing a burnout but wanted to find out. Or do some people get the tire hot then start off in 2nd or something?

i can get my 250 started in 2nd. try it in first, then second and keep going. wear a helmet because if it catches ur strait up.

today I just did a burn out. and I started in 1st and went to 6th.ran till it blew but when I shut it off and waited a little bit I started it back up and I had a serious knock!!! bunch of bull cr@p........
