Riding with a broken sub frame?

Well i looped my bike about 4 weeks ago now, and its about to be ride able again everything except for the sub frame. MY QUESTION was can i ride it with a broken subframe or will it affect anything while riding. The part thats broken is the bar at the end that holds both sides together but looks cheap *** hell and the sub frame is a little bent. Oh its a 99 yamaha r6. This might be a stupid question but i dont know. So any help is appreciated.

i've been there, done that..all i got say is get it re-welded or get a new one. It's not worth it when your subframe collapse's on a wheelie.

Re: Riding with a broken sub frame?

Same thing happened on my 2000 r6... Only one side was loose, I just bolted a "L" bracked from home dopot to it holding the tube to the side. It worked great and I never had a problem with it.

Re: Riding with a broken sub frame?

my subframe is cracked, twisted and broken in the rear...still rocking it..wouldn't worry about unless it's cracked near the frame mounts
