Re: tip over switch on f4i

im to lazy to take a pic but cut that big box off, strip the green and red wores down....twist em to gether and just let the white one hang down....good to go if u unplug the sensor to cut it and wire it make sure u plug it back into the right plug....theres the one that it goes into and an indentical one about 6 inches down the wire that itll plug into but nothing will happen

Re: tip over switch on f4i

ok heres what i did. is this right?

on the clutch side of the bike by the radiator there is a main harness that comes out. there is a black plug, white plug and a big grey plug.
on the big grey plug there is a (wire colors) r, w, g, b/w, g
o, b, b/r b/w, w/g, o/w, w/g
i connected the red in the corner with the green in the other corner.
was this right??????

Re: tip over switch on f4i

no, he doesnt have to touch the white wire because he did it behind the connector.

You should have it hooked up right man.

Re: tip over switch on f4i

i did it wrong. you guys are talking about the plug that comes out of the t.o.s.
i am missing that whole harness toatlly. i dont have a plug with just a white, red, green i am totally missing that plug.

what i cut was down by the side fairing by the radiator. i cut into the main wiring harness. a mechanic told me straight red and straight green on honda are pos. neg and i had them twisted together so that might have been part of my fire problem
only question is how to connect them again, there cut and i can't tape em.

and i still don't have the tos sensor figured out

Re: tip over switch on f4i

that should be it. Before I connected both wires it wouldn't even crank, bike was totally dead. After connecting them it turns over. I checked all the other connectors and they didn't have the 'red' in one corner and the 'green' on the other. So hopefully it's done right and that's the right connector.

Re: tip over switch on f4i

I rode with some buddys yesterday and one of them had an 01 f4i and he had the same wires jumped like I have(same as in the pics) and his is running fine. So I guess it's right. If you have the same setup and it's still not running right obvioulsy you've got something else screwed up.

Re: tip over switch on f4i

does the white one have to be clipped too? or do you just need to clip the red and green and connect them and leave the white as is
