Question FOR 2004 GSXR 600 riders!

Ed recently got a 04 gix 600 and it has NO low end, Idle trick power. It WILL NOT recover after you tap the brake. I rode it and had the same problem, and im used to a '03 gix 600, mine recovers great! He came off a '04 750 and that bike ran great too. We then tried our friends '04 gix 600 and it had the same problem, it feels like the motor falls flat on its face under 2,000 rpms!!!

So has anyone had a similar problem, what are some suggestions to fix it, thanks for the help!!! Btw, besides this problem the bike runs GREAT, idle fluxuates a bit.

COMMMMON TEACH, i expected you to come up with some thing that at least i didn't already know!!!

It's got tons of gear and even at 4K it falls FLAT!!! That's what i told Ed, grant and Warren James are killin them, so its got to be something. I was skeptical at first too, tellin him to stop bein a b!tch, but i rode it, it feels like an EX 250, so does our boy Adam's, same bike! We were thinkin maybe plugs, cause the bike was flipped and left on its side for a while

Maybe its the dirty A$$ philly Air?!?

did you guys take off the headlight switch.. I know this sounds stupid but alot of my friends that race complained about the bike running like **** after removing the headlight switch. Supposedly there is something in there that you need.

Re: Question FOR 2004 GSXR 600 riders!

nope, still on there and all stock componetry still in place. We thought of that too cause we had 2 04 gix 750's that we hooked up MSR raptor clutch levers up on. Then we left the clutch lever in/out switch in the IN position so that the bike would run, and they ran like ****, Dave's headers even started to glow sooooo bright that it started to light up the road, LOL. So the hooked it up so that it thinks that the lever is always OUT, but that would mean it would have to be in Nuetral to start it. Solution was to rig the "Pass" button to the clucth IN/OUT wires, you pull the "Pass button, and the bike thinks the clutch is in, and lets you start the bike, COOL HUH? that was ED's idea.

So that is the long answer to say no, we thought of that, LOL. Thanks anyway!

Anybody else???

how about ANY FI bike that has lost power, and feels like it has NO torque for idle tricks?!?! any problems with that and fixes??? Its a pretty bad problem, No Throttle hand tricks are basically impossible on this bike, LOL!

My f4i has been feeling like that lately. I just had the motor rebuilt and i was doing slow stuff just fine before. 10mph wheelies, 12's.... Always worked fine and on stock gearing too. Now it just seems to lag while im tring to recover on slow stuff. I know it needs to be geared but i never had this problem before
