Pics of my R6 subframe supports

Sprocketz asked to see some pics of my R6 subframe supports....

I just used 1/4"X1" flat steel from home depot. (No new technology here just showing what I did.) The steel bolts from the swingarm pivot bolt to the passenger rearset bolts(through both of them).

Re: Pics of my R6 subframe supports

If you mean the tabs on the frame the sub mounts to then wouldn't this help keep those intact? I read a post by someone (dont remember who) saying they are on thier third r6 subframe.
At any rate... why not strengthen it?

i have 5 cracks in my main frame. none even near the subframe. i hit my bar very very hard on several occasions and i have never had an issue with it. i broke 3 of the bolts becuz they came loose and i use my bar and broke them in half, but never any problem with the sub itself, but i would suggest having your frame reinforced on both sides if u r planning on doing serious stunting with an r6

Re: Pics of my R6 subframe supports

That's nice, might have to use something like that on my 6R until I get the skills to make something like this!

Re: Pics of my R6 subframe supports

i watched my roommate rip his r6's subframe in half with no damage to the frame at all. i doubt the frame would break before the subframe.
