Streetfighter Performance??????
Now that my bike is streetfightered, the long intake pipes leading to my front fairing intake is gone. The air will be pulled straight into the airbox through the two holes left between the frame below the tank. How will this affect performance. It is still my daily rder and I ride highways. Also, how is high speed stability with no fairings. I push her to 140 ish every now and then. Will this be ok??? I usually cruise on the highways at around 100 or so. Thanks a ton for all the help!

Re: Streetfighter Performance??????
my bike has been naked for a long time, the wind takes a little getitng used to and for the intakes im sure some mid range performance is lost since its not getting as much ramed air as it did stock,as for wheelies i like it just it feels like the bike doesnt catch as much wind as it did with my fairings

Doubt it makes any difference. I've got two street fighters, and they both scream. Ram air is largely a marketing gimmick and a styling exercise. Keep your head down at ridiculous speeds, you are sort of a wind sail at that point.

Yes, it will make a difference. However, the difference it does make, I seriously doubt you'll notice. The fact is on sportbikes, everything that came on your bike from the factory is there for a reason. That's why engineers exist. Will you notice a performance difference,,,probably not. Especially if you use the bike as a stunter, commuter/in city rider. If your like me and it sounds like you are then high speed recreation is an every now and then thing and when you go for the top speeds your probably only past 140 mph for a number of seconds. In those circumstances you won't notice. Now, if you were doing track days and always trying to lower your times and things like that, ya it would make a much bigger difference, here is why. On a track the conditions are much more ideal and the good people at the track work very hard to keep conditions consistant therefore you can focus on how the bike is behaving and not how different the road is.
To sum it up, do it if you want, I've ridden my bike a number of times in naked form and have never noticed a performance difference, now felt wind and elements that's a different story but performance nahh

No you won't really notice it until you get up to higher speeds . Either way I doubt you're going to be wanting to go that fast on a bike with no fairings.
