heres the problem with a billet slider...they are the strongest thing on the cage, so when you wreck, bolts will rip out and *** up mounts. if you weld washers on the end of a tube, that become the weak point. your cage may break off the bike, but you motor will still be protected. then all you have to do is weld washers back on the tubes and youre ready to go. if you mount breaks......you get the idea.

and i think using that middle mount will be strong enough so you dont have to mess with the rear mount too.

Thats why i put derlin on the end of my pegs to take alot of the impact and so they don't dig in. So far everytime i've wrecked its been the bolt that has bent. I'll see what i can figure out. I'm doing whatever is easiest.

ive heard nothing but good about the MXD cage. I havent tried it myself though yet.

Im running the Freetstyle Ingenuity cage and that thing is a beast. Takes such a hard hit and nothing ever happens. No roll over no nothing. Ive dropped my bike so hard and havent had a scratch on my bike. The cage takes it all. Hard as a rock. You dont even notice its there. Im streetfighter though so I dont know how good it fits with plastics.

you know what, on the f3 theres a nut on the back of the bolt in the mount right? so it wouldnt matter if the bolt broke, because it cant rip out threads.

anyways, post up pics when you are done, i want to see what you come up with

if you want some f3 pics, post up your email and ill send some to you

Not on the rear mount on the head, the middle mount on the 905 cage. That one threads into the head. The front one just goes threw with a bolt on the other side.

*off topic*

Hey MXD (jeff),

Finally put those plastics back on the F3. The cage looks off the hook too, especially with the them on. And the cage still running strong. I pancaked the bike from 12'oclock last tues and the sukker took it like a tank! No bending, perfect running motor, no cracked cases, and no cracked plastics!

Sorry, been laggin on taking those pix of the cage with the plastics on. I should have some uploaded in a few days. MXD cages rocks my sox.... :YEAH
