GSXR forkseal replacement....

Anyone know how to tear apart GSXR SRAD (96-99) front forks? Seal blew on one of them and I'd like to replace it myself, but don't know where to start taking it apart. Can anyone help?

best bet is a manual,or you can always take the forks off and take them to a shop....i had mine done a couple weeks ago 100 bucks for parts and labor...money well spent IMO

I've already gotten them off, just the two individual forks, I just need to know how to tear them apart now. Wanna learn for myself because this isn't the first time and damn sure won't be the last time I blow out fork seals.

Re: GSXR forkseal replacement....

there are a couple different types of forks and they come apart differently. I could figure it out, but i don't want to give you wrong info on here. The only ones i have experience with is GSXR 1000 forks, which are EASY!!! Getting a clymer manual is good advice! see if anyone that lives near you can help you. I usually just tear into things like this and try to do them, but i worked at a shop for a while and have been workin on my own bikes for YEARS, so maybe that isn't good advice either, LOL, sorry i couldn't be more help, ask Schwartz, he knows everything
