929 Subframe Part 2

Well the mod has done well--but ****'s still cracking--on the bottom and now its working its way in on the top. I was thinking about running another steel bar from the top mount of the subframe back to the rear pegs--any ideas on htis--think I'll give it a shot tonight---

2 questions--

1-Looks like you drilled a hole in that lower spar--did that weaken the subframe down there? No cracks by the hole?

2-You also said that you ran it all the way back to the bar--is it welded to the bar or does it just go all the way back and then stop where the bar starts?

I just might give this a shot--thanks for the advice and pics--they help....

to qustion one ya i drilled hole on the lower spair no cracks were i driled them but were the weld is at the one that bolts to the frame both sides have cracked but that is why i put a steel plate on the back side as well to keep my sub frame as one even if the welds crack beleave me i have had 3 subframe tryed everything even welding it up those stock welds alway break all you can do is make the subframe thicker

to qustion 2 i have a fi 12 bar they bolt on so i just drilled holes in the steel put longer bolts through and tourqed it till the steel took shape like i said you cant stop the welds from breaking but you can hold them togther with a stronger metal
