Re: help, what do u do when...
Old Gixxer 750 hummm nice bike. The carbs on this bike have some inharent problems. The Needles in the carbs run against the emolsion tubes or needle valves. After these carbs get more then 10,000 miles on them the jetting is changed greatly. The bike will run really rich and is really noticable at low throttle openings. Probly is not the problem with all the fuel in your header but I bet it's an issue with your bike.
Here are some pics of a needle valve/emolsion tube. It is wornout on the inside of the small hole. It has become Egg shapped letting more fuel by causing a rich condtion. The main jet is below this in the fuel circut so full throttel condition are not effected from this. Still limited to the ammount of fuel the main jet will allow by.
Issue at hand. Stuck float with piston at or near Top Dead center on the exhust stroke. Fuel pours right into the header. Check your oil as well if the level became a little high don't let this be a mystery it has some fuel in it. Time to change it.

My initial thought is no, but you never know!
I know that SOME of the older gixxers will fit a newer motor though, not sure which ones.
Hey, if you look at it like we do, ANY motor fits in ANY frame as long as you have an Alum welder, a case of beer, and friends, LOL. We stuffed a 1000 motor in a 750 frame, back motor mounts lined up, both fronts had to be relocated! Was perfect when it was done!
