I have a little grip tape on my bike....its on the top rail of my 905 cage, it holds my feet up there for longer rides...can be more comfortable....that and laying my legs out straight on the cage to mock harley guys as I go by!!! I like my tank 100X better after I got rid of the grip tape and dented it down and flipped the top.

someone said there was a guy with a 600rr at stuntwars who took a heat gun and softened up the plastic cover, then dented in the cover and metal tank at the same time, said it looked good, and like it would work much better

i used grip tape before, but now i have thisfoam stuff that works good. oneguy on my team used foam from a surfboard
