Re: 954 Help?

learning BP is tricky, but take your time and always keep the rear brake covered..start bringing them up and slowly take the wheelies higher til the bike doesnt rev out at fast,as soon as you hit the point that your revs stop at a certin point say 9k rpms thats balanced, thats the point where the bike will stay on one wheel with out your revs running out and killing your wheelie..also read the sticky thread on basic wheelies for more info.

Re: 954 Help?

Thanks for the advice. I was also wondering is the 954 notorious for people having trouble finding the bp?

Re: 954 Help?

Another thing my bike is -1 and +6 gearing. If i just want to concentrate on highspeed wheelies for now should i just leave it -1 and put the factory rear sprocket back on? Would it be easier to find bp this way? I have a different stuntbike to practice slow stuff on.

Re: 954 Help?

JUST MY BUT I THINK YOU SHOULD STICK WITH ONE GEAR SETTING AND LEARN HOW TO BALANCE IT BEFORE CHANGING AROUND. SUCH A RADICAL GEAR CHANGE WILL MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN HOW THE BIKE FEELS GETTING TO THE BP

Re: 954 Help?

Best thing to do is go out and practice...some more practice..and some more practice.

Find some locals and get some on hand feedback. I'm sure guys would help you out. Good luck.

Re: 954 Help?

nah,all bikes balance at about the same area give or take a few inches, the balance point isnt hard to find its just hard to learn to stay in,the only way to do it is practice.
