Tip over switch (how to remove it?)

on my 01' 929 i've tried everything to get around that tip over switch. every time i try a circle or hyperspin, it shuts off. so i found out if you unplug that switch and connect the two outside wires together it by-pass it. i have not yet tried riding again but when i layed it over and tried to start it it runs but go to give it gas and it dies any ideas?

You did the by pass right... make sure you have enough gas in the bike.... and make sure when you put the tank back on you didnt kink the gas line going to the throttle boddies!!!

Re: Tip over switch (how to remove it?)

He's talking about how people fill the tip sensor with silicone, You drill a hole in it, drain the fluid and set it upright, Then you fill it with silicone so the magnet in the inside cant move. But you said you already looped the wires right? If you looped them wrong then your bike wouldnt even start so make sure the wires you looped together are nice and tight.

Oh yeah and i believe a hyperspin is where you set the bike on its side and get on top of it and do burnouts in circles.

THAT TECHNIQUE ONLY WORKS FOR THE GSXR AND THE GUY THAT STARTED THIS THREAD RIDES A 929. ANOTHER "YOU DONT KNOW WHAT F#CK YOURE TALKING ABOUT" RIDER. IF YOU CONNECTED THE WRONG WIRES THE FUEL PUMP WOULDNT COME ON AND THE GUY NEEDS TO KNOW WHY IT DIES WHEN HE GIVES IT GAS ON ITS SIDE, SO IM PRETTY SURE HE GOT THE WIRES RIGHT SINCE IT IS RUNNING. WE CALL THAT SH#T THE "TEA-CUP" DOWN HERE.

Re: Tip over switch (how to remove it?)

NO YOUR WRONG!! Same technique works for HONDAS i did it to my f4i. The and my buddy did it to his 929. I said he musta wired it right or the bike wouldn't be running. Read a little better before you reply. I dont care what you call that stunt there, it's not what this is about. I dont even know what it is really called. I just know what he is talking about.

Re: Tip over switch (how to remove it?)

yeah i think your right the bike has just a little gas in it, never stopped to think it need more because it's on it's side. i'm trying that right now. you have to have the two outside wires connected or the bike wont start i just don't know what the middle wire is for?

and yes the hyperspin is were you put your bike on it's side and do fast circle burnouts. it might be called something else but that's all i've heard

Re: Tip over switch (how to remove it?)

I'll tell ya how it works.

There's a pendulum inside, surrounded by oil so it moves slowly. The 2 outer wires are 12v constant(red orange) and a ground(black). At the highest point of travel at either end of the pendulum there are contacts that break the first circuit and complete the 2nd circuit to the third wire(white/black or green), which goes directly to the engine shut-off relay, which trips the fuel cut-off relay.

Silicone will do the trick, but the easiest way is to just unplug the damn thing and throw it... then tap connect the 2 outer wires on the plug.

On edit: Those colors are for 02-03 954 bank angle sensor.

Are You Positive Its A Pendulum On The Honda? I Know It Is For The Gsxr But I Thought The Honda Switch Was Mercury.

Re: Tip over switch (how to remove it?)

another problem that I see is that sometimes the kickstand switch messes up... and that can shut the bike off... so when you by pass the tip over switch by pass the kickstand switch!!!
