Re: gas tank lock
take a drill bit and drill the old gas cap along the keyhole, get a harder metal type drill bit though, crappy ones will just break. a few drills through the keyhole should allow it to be turned with a straight screw driver! Good luck, remember to get all of the metal shavings out of your gas tank

Make a key yourself. Go buy a blank key and a very small file.
Put the blank key in the tank and grab the key with some pliers and turn the key back and forth. Pull the key out and you will see little indentions on the blank key. Use the file and use the indentions as a roadmap. Practice makes perfect.

wouldn't this take a long time with a file??? not creating drama, but I'm way too la-z to take that much time to make a key-----but very creative.....I'll give ya props for that....have to remember that if I ever lose my key!!!
maybe you cou7ld find someone with a bandsaw or something to speed up the process
