Help on proper 1 finger slipping technique
Hey fellas, I don't post many questions because mainly of all the questions I had/have is in here, but this is something that I've searched and I haven't found anywhere. Again and still learning and I'm able to bring 1st gear sit-ups and staggered stand-ups pretty consistenly, still working on finding the BP and learning the R-Break, that is a different topic, but the problem that I'm having using the 1 finger slip the clutch techique, may be after ~ 20-30 minutes of practicing, when doing just moving my index finger like you are clutching hurts like hell, sometimes where is even so sore even when switching gears normally, and this may even last for a couple of days.. What do you guys suggest? This is starting to get frustating, because I want to practice, but sometimes I just can't because I hurts so bad. Should I mess around which the clutch lever? BTW. I got a stock 02 F4I, please advise.. Thanks in advance.

Re: Help on proper 1 finger slipping technique
try adjusting your clutch lever or use two fingers to pull in the clutch ,youve gotta get a bigger sprocket ,im up to a +30 , pretty much you gotta get used to the quick snap of the thottle, and release of the clutch togethor to launch the bike fast to the point, and be able to catch after it goes past it with the brake ,if u have to , a bigger sprocket with the engine braking helps, good luck

Re: Help on proper 1 finger slipping technique
Try using 2 fingers, that is also a very common method used by alot of stunters. It would still be considered "the right way", and it will take longer for your fingers to get tired. However it will just take time for them to not get sore. They will just have to get stronger, and that is only time. Make sure that your clutch is adjusted all the way out, that way you dont have to pull it all the way in when you want to slip it.

Move your clutch perch as far up the clip on as you can. Then, adjust the clutch lever to the point where it engages as soon as you pull it in. Then start lowering your hand further down the clip-on, towards the bar end. Position your finger as far down the lever as you can.
This will help you have more leverage. Made a world of difference to me.

Re: Help on proper 1 finger slipping technique
My technique is my index finger pulling back the lever barely, rolling on the throttle and releasing the clutch while I'm still rolling on. I do it really fast.
