Preping Fairings for paint?
I am planning on custom painting my R6 and will do all the prep work myself. I am planning on sanding all the plastics and then primmer. I just wanted some pointers on the best way to go about doing it.

peel the stickers, sand it down with liek 320 grit, wash it of with "kleanz easy" or some other solvent, use a good self etching primer (martin senior tec prime). or just scotch brite it and rattle can depending on if you are gonna stunt it and f*ck up the paint or just look at it

People really need to just start opening there eyes in other posts, i have 2 posts in this section on how to paint your bike.
220 grit to take down the paint, after doing that spray it down with brake cleaner and whipe clean with an old t-shirt (leaves no fuzzies). spray 2 coats of primer. Sand primer (rough it up) with 600 grit. Spray on your first base coat layer, let dry. Spray second coat, let dry. Wet sand (i didnt do this) with something above 1000 grit.
look under "Spray Painted F2" and "First spray paint layed on F2" for pics of my bike.

after you strip all the stickers 320 is a good start then primer it with any good primer. after the primer drys good, wet sand it swit a 600 grit sandpaper and clean it with a wax and grease cleaner.

It doesn't look like anyone has really given you much info on graphic removal yet... So incase you don't already have a method down, I'll give it shot. To remove the graphics, well the way I do it anyways, take a hair dryer and heat up the stickers with it. Then once you've got the graphics all warmed up and toasty, use a razor-blade and scrape them off... It might leave a little bit of sticky crap here and there, so to get that off put some acetone on a rag, get the sticky crap all soaked in acetone, then use light grit sand paper and rub the **** right off. Now use some mineralspirits to clean it up one final time and then your ready for sanding and primer. One of the keys is getting the graphics nice and hot before you scrape them off. Somebody probably has a better way to do it, but that's pretty easy and it has worked for me more than once...
