funny nosies

I had some knocking n free play on the neck of my frame, felt it and heard it with every bump or even while hitting the front brake. So I tighten it and now there is a rattle (more like bells jingling, or a washer bouncing), WTF? I took the clip-ons off, removed the top yoke, then I tighten the bolts on the head cassete. Did I do something wrong? should I take it back apart and tighten it more, I don't know how much torque they are suppose to have. Don't want to fuch it up, thanks

Re: funny nosies

I don't personally own one, but a good friend of mine had the same problem. The head set bearings were broken.
