Just after some advice on what gearing you run on your SM's ??

I'm still at stock-ish 14/44 but considering a drastically bigger rear sprocket to liven things up some more??

Id personally go more up in the rear rather than 2 down in the front
Looks better in my opinion, and I dont like when the chain rubs on the swingarm/chain guide beecause of the very small front sprocket.

I have a 50T sprocket for the off road wheels laying around, so tempted to try that, 14/50 might be a tad excessive though??

Has a buddy of mine who has an 525 Moto running with enduro sprocket sizes.
Dont remember the sprocket size. Butt a little bounce when riding 6th gear, the front wheel is flying

You can put the 50 sprocket on easy. You dont need the speed anyway!?

I still go on the odd rideout (although any straight bit of road is an excuse to wheely still ) and I plan a good few track days this year.

Think I am going for 14/46 T when I replace my chain etc too. Going to leave it at 14/44 for the time being in an attempt not to kill myself

actually the 14/50 is safer, less speed and more engine brake Try that because you already have that possibility. Go back to stock if that is too extream.

My KTM went pop when out last week, it seems I've ****ed the valves, supposedly from non-stop practice for about 40 minutes.

Should I buy a cheap shitty suzuki bandit 600 to learn to stunt on instead? then use the KTM when I can actually change gear and not sit on the limiter every wheely
