F2 exhaust question

i recently tore my bike down and rebuilt it...i swapped motors from a 93 with 35k? miles on it to a 92 with 25k miles on it that was wrecked....the rest of the bike faired pretty shitty but the motor was immaculate, no gas oil or anything on it...when i put the exhaust from my bike on it the bike sounded way deeper and i could cover up the back of it and it would continue to run...i pulled the exh off and put it back on and it just wont fit in like it should...i need help asap the rims will be done fri and i want to ride immediately after they are put on, so i have this down time to mess with it

thanks

Re: F2 exhaust question

Stock exhaust? Only 2 places it can be leaking from. Either right at the head, or where the can attaches to the header.

Re: F2 exhaust question

no full two brothers system, all of it is welded together so its just one piece, no leaking from anywhere but where the head connects to the motor

i cant get the flanges or whatever they are called to slide back into the motor, i had to work them to get them out but cant get em back in

Re: F2 exhaust question

usually when you pull a header off there are copper orings that sit in the haed ,if they are missing or are worn out it will leak from there the o-rings are cheap about $5 bucks or so ,if it still leaks from there with the new orings try the stock exhaust system the two brothers system might be bent just a little bit that you'll never see it be looking at it , those flanges should just slide into place with little or no effort if you really gotta work them something is bent ,check all the studs in the haed make sure their all stright an before you put the nuts back on put a little bit of grease on each stud so they go on nice an smooth , hope this helps you out good luck bro
