Help on BP.

Been working on wheelies a while now, and I'm having some trouble geting BP. I think I hit it, but I don't have enough rev's left ( I know that shouldn't be a problem when you get to BP) but By the time I'm there, I'm out of RPM's. Been doing sit downs for a while now, started working on staggered stand-up's, much easier I might add. So anyways, looped it a while back trying to master BP. I think the problem is is becuase Ican't get it up in second.
So how long did it take to master BP for you guys??? Any tips on mastering it??

Are clutching it or powering it up?

Re: Help on BP.

It's easy if you don't think about it. Just clutch it up and lay on the throttle til the bike doesn't accelerate anymore. Don't think of it as a "point" just keep on the throttle until the bike doesn't accelerate.

The problem with revving out is you're not getting it high fast enough, I like to get my wheelies about a foot from BP when i clutch it and then adjust the throttle til it floats.

Re: Help on BP.

That's how you know when you get to BP? When you get the float sensation?

trust me when you hit it you ll know the first few times will scare the hell out of you, after a while its nothing. Just keep your foot near that rear brake.

I would but Im am very against doing the so called "Pensacola rider" thing. I keep to myself and only ride with a couple people. Mainly Streetpunk and Uponone. Other than that the rest of guys will ruin any spot I have and I cant take that chance.

FHL pretty much answered you question. This is maybe the best advice I heard - don't think of it as a point. Pop that wheel little faster and stay on the throttle (you are probably subconciunsly let go some). Gradually lett of throttle as you accelerate less and less coming closer to BP. You will feel that less and less throttle is needed to go up and when you feel there's no need for throttle anymore you are there. It may scare the **** outa you or it may be a divine feeling for you, but anyway you'll get used to it.

sorry we ruin "your" spots, but there's only so many here and we just have to understand that we're all not super stunters yet...

Sorry you didnt understand what I meant, Basically the so called meeting spots..... Bagel heads, sonics, JJ's.... get the point.. Other than that the times I rode with the small group was cool I can handle that. Its when you got 25+ people riding and only 3 people even stunt or try to stunt. everyone else just wants to drag race and watch and hope you wreck....
Get it now...

As long as its a small group no more than 5-6 that are willing to even try Im cool with that Im not a big fan of the spectator crowd.

it's all good, i've been riding with about 3 or 4 others at a time...but there's not really that many places here that will support those people. I'm not going anywhere near the "video" crew goes when they advertise again though

Re: Help on BP.

Nah, I'm not even thinking of that many people, just maybe my closest riding friend, and maybe one more, but more than likely, it will be just me. As far as the stagered stand-up's go, the problem I'm having is I'm at the 11:30 postion, and it still doesn't float. WTF? Clutchit, you still got my number, right? You know I'm serious bout stunting, specially after looping it at 65 and getting back up and at it again.
