Body work

I have never done body work and was just wondering if anyone has filled in the hole(light spot) on the gsxr. Just seeing if anyone had any suggestions on how to do it. Also any suggestions on a color scheme? thanks

Re: Body work

take ur headlight....make a mold out of it.. then when that is dry, fiberglass or carbon fiber the mold with epoxy. any epoxy shop can help you with the details, then just fiberglass the headlight cover to the inside of the front fairing, then bondo and smooth the outside of the upper, or you could just buy a race upper with a closed off headlight, paint.....think spraypaint in light moderation, solid colors silver, white, red, blue, pink, if u can handle it etc.
or you could just hold off on the fibglass and just cover ur bike in camo over the headlight and whole upper, it would look like you dont have a light in there..

Re: Body work

fiberglass is great stuff, ive built all sorts of enclosures for my car with it (audio related) its pretty easy to do once you get the technique down, and you can do anything with that crap heh.

Re: Body work

Yep, take your existing upper and headlight... make the mold. Make new upper. Add more sheets for rigidity, sand, bondo, sand again... paint. Too easy. Good luck
