seat

hey guys, i have a 1996 cbr600. i need to know how to get the seat off so i can get to my battery. its my first bike so i need some help with it. any help is appreciated. thanks

I dont know for sure about the f4i but on my 900 if you pull the back of the seat toward the gas tank you can see two bolts. Once you taked those out it should come right off.

Use your key, or a screwdriver, and pull of the back 2 plastic pieces. Then the rest will be pretty explanitory. There is a bolt on each side if I recall, and maybe one up front. I haven't taken mine off lately.


Be careful not to bust the tabs when you pull the plastic.

I would say check your owners manual but there's a good chance it's under your seat.

on my 97 i have to pull off the tail sections then i think that there are two bolts on each side to remove the seat. then your good to go.

Yea on my bike I kind of flip the back corners of my seat upward to expose the two bolts. I take a 3/18 allen wrench and take it off...
