Re: 954 In A 929

So I Cannot Just Bolt The 954 Motor And Swingarm Into The 929 Frame And Use The 929 Wiring Harness, And Throttle Bodies? I Dont Really Care About The Gauge Mounts And The Switches. Message Back If I Can Get By With Just The 954 Motor And Swingarm And 929 Everything Else. Thanx.

Re: 954 In A 929

not sure, when i bought my 954rr motor it came with everything else, I orginally got the idea from someone else that completed the swap.

I would think that you are going to need the 954 airbox, and everything else to make it run right.

You don't need all that stuff. Just use the 929 throttle bodies. It will run great. Only other thing you have to change is the radiator hoses. One of them is a bit diffrent on the bypass part and you have to use the original off of your bike. We've swapped both ways on 4 different bikes now and no problems. 929 motor will run just a tad rich in a 954 bike, but it's no biggie.

Re: 954 In A 929

if your going to do the swap then you should do it right, instead of half rigging it.

I'm putting a 929 into a 954( reason: I got one for cheap) what can I keep on the 954 to work with the 929 motor? and it still won't blow up

IF YOU USE A 929 MOTOR, THEN YOU NEED THE 929 THROTTLE BODIES, ECM, AND WIRING HARNESS. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN MY TIME AND DONE IT RIGHT BUT I HAD A 954 MOTOR AND I WANTED TO RIDE. THIS SITE IS FULL OF " THINK THEY KNOW SOME SH#T MOTHER F#CKERS." I HAVE THE PARTS YOU NEED FOR THE 929 IF YOU WANT TO TRADE FOR THE 954 STUFF.
