F2 fairing stay

How do I remove the speedo and fairing stay on my f2 the right way, and what's the wire I need to ground so it doesn't bog?

Re: F2 fairing stay

i've never heard of bikes bogging with no speedo my zx6r hasn't had a speedo set up for a while and it was alright but if the f2 is different than buy a voltage tester, cap the wires showing that they're getting 12 v and ground the black wire because black is usually ground :YEAH
the best way would probably be to go to your local honda dealer or even honda.com and print a wiring diagram for the speedo and that should make things easier :YEAH way to answer the question doodle or whatever your name is who cares what your favorite tricks are if you are in the help and how to forum bragging and helping no one obvioulsy he's not worried about seat standers :YEAH

Re: F2 fairing stay

your speedo runs off the front wheel, take the cable off, simple.

there isnt a ground anywhere on your fairing stay, 2 bolts from the frame...it doesnt bog without one, to remove the speedo cable pull your front axle out just enough for it to fall off then twist if off the back of your speedo

Re: F2 fairing stay

disconnect the speedo cable where it goes into the front wheel. dont loose the screw (i just screwed it back in after I removed the cable so i didnt loose it). You bike should run fine without the guages on it, mine did. You'll have to re-connect a few things after you take off the upper cowl and guages(starter/turnsignals/ect. Then just take the big nasty wire harness you have left over and zip-tie it out of the way. that should do it.
