how do i brace the sub frame on a 01 gixxer 600 ????

how do i brace the sub frame on a 01 gixxer 600 ????
my buddy that dose show with me breaks his every 2 weeks where the sub frame meets the frame.

dose anyone have pics or can tell me how to brace it




he also needs to buy a rear wheel and a new subrame if anyone has them .

Ive seen guys run a flat bar from the rearset mount to the rear footpeg bracket to stiffen it up.

i know alot of people actually weld a piece of diamond plate between the upper and lower part of the subframe

Brian's bike doesent technically have i subframe anymore it is all braced and welded solid.

go buy some 1 inch by maybe 3/8 or a little smaller metal, cut and drill to size, then mount the piece from the upper rear set bolt to the first pass peg bolt. same bolts he has his bolted to except just a straight piece of metal. no welding, no hassle

04's have a braced sub from the factory, j beats bike flipped 3 times this weekend and kicked the subframe probably 4inches to the side and twisted it without braking, if your braking those somethings not right

Hey Pat, there is a guy here in town that has the pimp setup for what you are lookin for. I just PMed you his number. His braces go from the swingarm pivot bolt to the passenger peg mounts. That way you dont have to put more unneeded stress on the weak *** rearset mounting points.

i hit mine doing sit down circles sometimes, mine is welded just like the pics above, it will still break eventually, just have to be easy on it

i ran 1 bar straight from the front peg to the rear peg..

never broke again..
