Pics of my 12 bar in progress no 56k!
well i recently first 12'd (and busted my *** for now covering teh rear brake!), so while the bike is down (awaiting a new cage) and me not having patience to wait for teh short FI bars to come out, im making my own 12 bar, i have to powerdercoat it, fisnish welding it and get a titanium plate so teh sparks can be glamma white LOL hahaha enjoy :YEAH all i have to do is calculate the angle, imma do that with a 2/4 or piece of wood, let some air and push teh wood into teh tire to compensate for teh weight of teh bike, any tips are helpful

the angle is what worries me the most. it looks big also cause the pic uses a fisheye lense. it looks so pro in person, i have the cross bar done, just have to cut the angles of teh side bars and weld it on, man its gonna look dope, i'm gonna try and do that tomorrow

Being that beefy--and in your last pic it looks like 3 bolts holding it in?---Something's gonna give and it might be the subframe-Id change the dimensions around--cut it so the metal isn't so wide-my powers bar is half the width of your custom bar-maybe this pic will help:

hey r1alvin does your bar not actually bolt into the subframe? looks like its just pinched around it??
do you have any pics closer up of the mounting? how thik is the metal?
or does anyone have pics of how a store bought 12bar mounts up? post

Yup its pinched-no drilling into subframe--hold up damn well too-I've hit the bar at least 10 times already--pretty hard a few times too and at angles--Bar is solid--never had to tighten it or re-adjust it yet--I just went into my garage and measured the thickness too--the arms (perpendicular to the actual sliding bar) are 3/8" inch thick. THe metal tabs are 2/8" inch thick.

I dont have any closer pics--Its really really simple looking at it--the 2 tabs closest to the actual bar are welded to the bars arms. The remaining 2 tabs are completely adjustable. And they all sandwich the subframe.--Hope this helps you any and good luck.
