Does a 954 Damper fit 929?

Does a 954 Damper fit 929?
I was looking for dampers and I am finding a lot of good deals, but they are all for 954s. They look near the same as each other, but will a 954 fit on my 929? If not, what makes them not fit? :YEAH

i'm pretty sure the mount holes on the frame are the same distance and the top clamp is identical, if not the same clamp. the only thing i'm not 100% sure about is the distance from the tank mounts on the frame to the triple clamp, they might have changed it a little with the new frame design.

Well there is a brand new Scott's damper on eBay for a couple hundred bucks and he says this:
Fits 1996-1999 CBR900RR and 2002-2003 CBR954
He skips 929 completely, but the 954 mounting looked exactly the same (In fact, Scott's uses the same bike photo as an example picture on their web site) as each other.
