chain question

this might be a stupid question but can someone tell me the proper way to cut chain links? What tools should I use....I am putting my stock sprocket back on and I want to cut some links off.

i use a grinder and grind the rivits , or u can go buy a chain breaker tool.

grinder is the quickest way,you can pick them up cheap at harbor feight tools

Use a dremel with a litle cut off wheel. Cut the heads off the rivets in the master link. Drive the rest out the back with a punch and hammer.
