White residue in oil level window

The is a whiteish residue in my oil level window on the clutch cover. Any ideas????

I think oil + coolant make this right??? Head gasket leak maybe???

Pretty sure water or condensation got into your engine somehow.

it might be the head gasket... among other possiablities... if you can, flush the block.

Re: White residue in oil level window

well it could be a head gasket, but unless ur bike is producing white smoke also i would bet on a water pump seal.

Re: White residue in oil level window

the best advice i can think of other than checking the head gasket or the water pump would be to buy a honda asap.

Re: White residue in oil level window

If you run short distanges the low temp motor leaves some white stuff always. If you run longer trip, the white stuff disappears.

Just check the cooland level and keep on eye on it. If you loose lot of it, then it's time to do something about head gasket..
