Rear Brake

Do you guys recommend using the rear brake to save it only, or do you use it to balance out and just ride it the whole time? These are first gear standups?

Re: Rear Brake

I use both, depends on how sloppy my throttle control is that day. hah It comes to a point where you don't even think of it and just work the two together.

Re: Rear Brake

Like he said, all depends on your throttle control. If you are smmoth and know where that spot is that just starts engine braking you don't have to touch the brake. It'll just start slowing down on it's own.

Re: Rear Brake

You should have enough engine brake in first gear to Balance a wheelie.

Re: Rear Brake

Yes First gear i use pretty much all engine brake and it hasnt done me wrong yet... well besides the one time but when your traveling 15-20 MPH you dont have much engine brake (i learned the hard way lol).

Ive thought of using the rear brake as "rollin off the throttle" ive started using the brake instead of backin off the throttle as much and its seemed to work alot better as far as keepin the RPM's consistant.
