streetfighter

a friend of mine wrecked his 99 f4 and didnt have insurace. we are trying to put it back togather and make it a streetfighter. i would like to know if anyone knows a good place to get parts reasonably priced.. used or new. we are gonna try to get it all fixed this winter. bike needs alot of parts from clip ons to plastic parts. and also ideas to make the streetfighter happen and tips on easy ways to do it.

thanks

There is a for sale forum on here, watch that.....or you can always get ripped off on ebay. As far as making a street fighter, just don't put any plastics back on.

Order one of their handle bar conversion kits and start from there.
If your gonna build a streetfighter,do it right and convert it.

yep, $20 from auto zone, mount them to ur fairing stay or forks. one wire will plug right into ur headlight plugs and the other will have to be cut off and replaced (takes 2 sec) and then u have lights.

Re: streetfighter

When it comes to a streetfighter you need to use your own imagination. Especially if you want to do it and not spend a lot of money. Buy the fog lights and find somewhere to mount them or make your own brackets. You can probably find somewhere on that top triple to drill holes to mount mx bars like I did. If it has already been wrecked once, add some protection to keep from causing more damage. You can always use your rashed up plastics with fur on them. Make your own front clip. I did my 636 myself but I am not done with it yet. It has never been wrecked but since I am trying new stuff, why mess up my mint plastics? I only have about $500 in mine but $400 of it is the 12 bar and cage. I got the bars for free, TAG clamps cost $38, new front brake hose $35, lights $20, and a few wire connectors I already had on hand.
