Re: Delrin as 12 bar stock?

it would be a good idea bolted onto the bar for newbies,it might not grab as hard causing throw offs..

i think it would be cool if you can take a solid peice of that stuff and shape it like a stock tail and scrape that

ya i guess your right about that, but if the stuffs as tough as you say it is it wouldnt crack and fall apart or get ground down as fast as a stock tail and still look pretty good, plus i like the idea of sounding like the old lady getting wooped with a spoon

Re: Delrin as 12 bar stock?

yes but if it was really this strong it would suck too,you wouldnt be able to park it,you can park a bike with stock tail on the sub frame.

all i know is, that delrin bolts rocked in my autococker when i used to play paintball. never had trouble keeping up with the trigger with a delrin bolt, never froze either as long as my ball detent was good. definately a good idea tho..cheers

Re: Delrin as 12 bar stock?

If any body wants to try one I'll make them for $20 a piece. PM me with the dimensions of your slider plate on your 12 bar (for instance F.I. is 11 x 2" steel slider, 3 bolts on center line 3 1/2" spacing between them). I'll use counter sunk flat head allen bolts so you'll have a fair bit of material to wear away until you get close to scraping the bolt. This price would include the delrin slider (with bolt pattern machined into it) and the hardware to mount it.

Re: Delrin as 12 bar stock?

yeah,i think it would be great to bolt as the scrape plate on your 12 bar,if you were to go back too far on accident or 12 it on accident it would be less likely to grab road and send the bike flying vs. just touching and wearing down the derlin,i may be wrong tho?
