Re: My Motor!!!!

if you dont have a cage on your bike you may have just cracked your stator casing. As long as your bike was still running fine then all you need to do is take it off and either jb weld it or get a new one. Replace the gasket and put new oil in it.

Re: My Motor!!!!

Thats a shitty deal man, sorry to hear it my CC still leaks. But i check the oil everytime befor i ride. I check the oil and it hasnt been even below the fill line yet with probably 4 hours of riding. Just get alittle oil on the shoe when im riding and thats my only issue heh.

So when you gettin a cage

Your motor was probably just making noises cause it was low on oil. I doubt its messed up though. Just find the leak, JB weld, and add oil you'll probably good to go.

Re: My Motor!!!!

im sure JB weld will fix the crack if you do it from both sides, and maybe with the bolt issue just buy a slightly bigger plug? i know its been done on cars haha.

Re: My Motor!!!!

dude, just get a new stator cover for like $50 and take the bike to a machine shop and have them re-tap the threads in your drain plug........it will only cost a few bucks and take a few minutes. I would say $20 or so (just a guess). I stripped a motor mount bolt in a bike before and just had it re-tapped and it was about that and only took a couple minutes. You can also buy a kit to do it yourself but I don't strip that many bolts to justify buying it just paid the money and let someone that knew what they were doing take care of it.

if your motor really is screwed just ride it till it blows after you fix it............it might not even be damaged so why replace it if you dont have to
