back with questions again...
sorry if i'm asking too many questions. when i clutch it sitting down, i use my two index and middle finger. i guess when i'm sitting down it's easier, but when i'm practicing standups and clutch it that way, i just can't seem to hold on the bar very well. should i practice using one finger on the clutch so i could hold on better??? i have not yet strengthened my ***** yet so the standups aren't doing so well. i want to just say F it with the clutching and go to bouncing it up, but i'm gonna listen to you guys and practice clutching it up. my other buddies are all bouncing their standups and getting better results, but i would like to learn the right way. is there a trick to body position??? i feel like i'm leaning all my weight on the bars so i'm having difficulty getting the front to come up smooth. the times that my front has come up good, i feel like i'm not standing very up very well. i think my knees are still bent. give me some good tips guys!!! oh yeah, i heard some guys saying standups in 3rd are easier??? is that true or bunch of BS???

learning to clutch is good, but if your bike has the power to bounce on the highway do what makes you feel comfortable...practice sitting in the drive way pulling the clutch in and out with one finger as many times as you can..thats what i did and it helps..also adjust the lever your clutch to where it grabs when the lever is almost all the way out..gives you a bit more room between the clutch lever and your fingers and grips...

I always clutch wheelies with 1 finger sitting or standing, I find im able to slip the clutch faster/get better results.
When your goin to do a standup lock your arms and dont lean forward, let the bike do the work and come up to you. Then once you get the feel of where BP is at you can start clutching it up then moving your body to the standing straight up position. Hanging off the back of the bike "stickin your butt out" will lower the height of the BP and you will find that you will feel more comfortable like that till you break habit of it.
If your doing wheelies in second theres nothing wrong with bouncing/clutching at the same time. I know my F2 wont just clutch up in 2nd without a bounce, i gotta bounce the bish and pull up on the bars with one foot back on the passenger peg (staggered) and it'll come up.
Im all about learning to do wheelies in 1st gear... it comes up MUCH easier/faster. When you pull them up in second or atleast when i do the bike slowly comes through then when it gets close to BP speeds up. In 1st gear it comes right up to BP and your not goin very fast (another good thing).
Dont start power wheelies, learn them the right way there much safer. Try bouncing and clutching the bike up at the same time. Otherwise learn wheelies in 1st

I cant clutch while standing. Way too f***** akward. I was told to try some first gear power wheelies with a bounce. It feels way more comfortable. I know clutching is the way to go, but this is helping me with standups, you know, just to get the feel for it. what do you guys think?

Re: back with questions again...
i never ever ever learned bouncing up a wheelie, i cant even power a wheelie up if i tried probably.
I was told by squidmark "this is how you wheelie" and i went from there by trial and error. Be patient everyone learns at there own pace, if you rush it your only goin to get hurt.
Power wheelies are garbage and dangerous. Leave those for the squids.

dude...i do power wheelies on the highway and they rock..just cuz you havent tryed them doesnt make them dangerous...i know how to clutch because i can do it from a dead stop...but i have good throttle control and i dont feel theres need if i can bounce it up and balance it smoothly off of power.....thanks you sprocket specialists...and like tomorrow im gonna go out and try highchair wheelies...am i gonna clutch them up my first try? HELL no!..im gonna do it just rolling on and off the power til i get the wheel up and then try clutching...same as i learned my sit downs and stand ups...

Re: back with questions again...
you should be able to do a power wheelie in 1st gear on a 04 R6 w/ no problem. I can bounce up 2nd and 3rd gears w/o any problems too, and i can clutch up 2nd and 3rd sitdowns (but there only like 8" off the ground). But if i try a clutch up standing, all the bike does is spin (and that's w/ me sticking my butt out). Either bounce ups or clutch ups would be best bet on learning first, i think its just personal preference, but i wish'd i'd spent all my time learning bounce ups practicing on clutch-ups instead.

Re: back with questions again...
i could never get the hang of that "bounce up ****", but i could clutch up in 1st,2nd and 3rd sitting or standing.
I'm also an "TRAINED PROFESSIONAL" at clutching one up and hitting the back of a focking car
