read the "how do I wheelie a katana 600?" thread. Pretty much the same thing. Stand up, bounce and clutch the hell out of it.

I have a 94 and can lift them with drag bars. I have to drop it at 9 though but it can be done. Ridin coasters soon.

Gear it like +15 in the back, rev to 10k, lean back and dump the clutch. Oh yeah... you might want to cover your rear brake too

Re: wheelie an 04 GS500F?

I got mine to wheelie pretty easily now. Even could get it to roll back if I don't watch myself. W/ Stock gearing, I go about 10 or 15 mph, then rev to about 7 or 8, and then just drop the clutch, and hold on to the end of the throttle... I put a 13 (-3) front sprocket, which was great! It came up easily, and you could actually bounce off the throttle. W/ the 13 though, I hit a top speed of about 100mph on the fwy, at redline 6th gear. So I went to a 14 tooth, and that seems to be at least decent. I have a 500e, and it's really forgiving.. so it's a lil' nice to beat around with...
