Re: 929 Fairings On A 900??

Ok.Well I pulled the old one off got a cheap *** beat up 929 tail and well hit, kicked and more or less stretched it on .Then I used 1 zip tie at the back to pull the seat lock open instead of the key.you can used the stock seats. You dont have to bolt the tail on as its alot smaller then the 919 subframe and trust me it aint commin off fast.Even in a good stack.

Re: 929 Fairings On A 900??

i WILL TAKE A PIC OF MINE AND POST IT. I PUT A 00 929 UPPER, HEADLIGHT BOTH SIDE MIDS AND THE TAIL ON A 95 900RR. THE TAIL WAS SIMPLE JUST USED WOOD SCREWS TO HOLD THE SEAT TO THE SUBFRAME AND THE PLASTIC JUST SAYED IN PLACE. I ALTERED THE 929 UPPER FAIRING BRACKET AND IT BOLTED ON LIKE NORMAL THEN ATTACHED THE 900RR MIRROR BRACKET TO HOLD IT ALL IN PLACE NOW THE MIDS,NOT MATCHING UP TO THE 900RR LOWERS SO I GROUND DOWN THE EXCESS LIP ON THE PLATIC A ZIP TIE HERE AND THERE AND IT LOOKED SO GOOD IT FOOLED ALOT OF PEOPLE. THE ONLY DOWN WAS THAT THERE WAS NO ROOM FOR MY 900 GAUGES AND THE HEADLIGHT WAS KINDA POINTING TO HIGH BUT FOR A SUNT BIKE WHO CARES.

There was no gap between the rear seat and fairing but there was a small gap at the base of the seat but if i would have used a 929 seat i think it would have fit perfect
