1000RR Killswitch on F4i Wiring Help
I know there are ppl running this on F4i's with the 1000RR Throttle Tube, I bought the 1000RR killswitch and wiried it like I was told and it wont work. My boy also tried and ended up re-wiring the entire thing to get it working. I know its not the killswitch it self, I bought another and it does the same damn thing.
1000RR Wiring
Starter Wires - to the same color on F4i harness
Yellow/Red -
Blue / White -
Black/ Red
KillSwitch Wires - to the same color on the F4i harness
White/Black
Black
Brake lights work either way -
Im thinking I dont have the wiring right, or it has something to do with my kick stand being discon? Bike will run with it down.

I got my kickstand bypassed also so its definitely not that. I really dont know what to tell you bro. What year 1000rr housing did you buy? I dont know if theres any difference between the older ones and the newer ones I have an 03/04 kill switch and it worked just fine from the second I hooked it up.

Re: 1000RR Killswitch on F4i Wiring Help
Ok.. I figured this out after tearing the 2 different housing apart.. Looking at my stock 2001 F4i killswitch wiring theres 4 wires on the starter switch and only 3 on the 1000rr starter switch. The extra wire on the F4i starter switch is "T" in the stock harness with the Black Ground on the Killswitch. I just used a splice to "T" the gound on the starter with the ground on the Killswitch on the 1000rr and it works. perfectly switch and all.
Neil your bike used to be a Banana so its 04-06? right? Your stock bike might have had a 3 contact starter button . Im going to take pics and post in the thread.

I am running into the same problem . With two black wires from the f4i to one black wire to the 1000rr . Not sure how you spliced the two black wires to the 1000rr black wire
